According to preliminary data for April 2007, Ukrainian steelmaker Ilyich received 80,300 metric tons of scrap compared to the 60,000 metric tons initially projected, i.e. 33 percent more scrap than foreseen.
Supplies of scrap to Zaporizhstal in April were 32.9 percent more than the plant's projected monthly needs of 70,000 metric tons, totaling 93,000 metric tons.
Enakievsk MZ during the same period received 50,000 metric tons of scrap - showing a 19.4 percent shortage compared to its expected requirements.
Istil received 99,200 metric tons of scrap in April 2007, nine percent above its projected requirements of 90,000 metric tons.
Azovstal received 25.2 percent less scrap than its planned intake volume for April 2007 (50,000 metric tons). Scrap supplies to the plant in April totaled 37,400 metric tons.
