SAIL’s RSP registers record finished steel production in April-June

Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) owned by Indian state-run steel producer Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and located in the eastern Indian state of Odisha recorded finished steel production of 810, 405 mt in the April-June period this year, the highest-ever figure achieved during the first quarter of any previous fiscal year, company sources said on Wednesday, July 10.

Total finished steel sales of 789,520 mt in the April-June period this year was the highest-ever sales volume recorded by the SAIL unit in the given period of any previous fiscal year, the sources said.

RSP’s hot metal production was recorded at 944,552 mt in the January-April period this year, registering the highest-ever performance compared to any previous April-June period.
