SAIL’s RSP recorded highest ever HRC production in April-July 2018

Steel Authority of India Limited’s Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) produced 577,001 mt of hot rolled coil (HRC) during April-July 2018, the highest ever compared to any of the previous corresponding periods, company officials said on Wednesday, August 8.

RSP’s plate mill achieved a production of 260,320 mt during April-July 2018, exceeding the previous highest ever production achieved during the corresponding months of 2017-18 fiscal, the official said.

According to the officials these production levels of finished steel products was achieved riding on back of 1.18 million mt of crude steel production during the period, a growth of 22 percent over corresponding period of previous fiscal.
