SAIL’s Rourkela Steel Plant achieves highest monthly HRC output in Oct

Indian state-owned steel producer Steel Authority of India Limited’s (SAIL) Rourkela Steel Plant achieved its highest-ever monthly production of hot rolled coil (HRC) in October this year, with 169,461 mt, a company official said on Wednesday, November 7.

The official stated that the plant’s shipments of HRC in October of the current year also constituted a highest-ever monthly volume for the plant’s HRC shipments, at 103,025 mt.

The previous highest monthly production by RSP was achieved in March this year with 167,177 mt, while the previous highest-ever monthly shipment volume was recorded in August 2017 with 101,184 mt, the official added.
