Russia’s stainless steel output down 19.8 percent in Jan-Oct

In the January-October period of this year, Russia's stainless steel product output decreased by 19.8 percent year on year to 103,200 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.

In particular, output of flat products declined by 37.3 percent, production of wire decreased by 18.7 percent, production of billets went down by 77.3 percent, while output of long products declined by 1.5 percent, all on year-on-year basis.

At the same time, output of seamless pipes increased by 4.6 percent, while production of welded pipes moved up by 20.2 percent, both year-on-year basis.
