Russia’s stainless steel longs output up 3.1 percent in 2011

According to the Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (Spetsstal), in 2011 Russia's production of stainless steel long products increased by 3.1 percent year on year to 40,008 mt.

Of the aggragate volume of stainless steel long products, the output of long products which were formed by austenitic grades with a share of 59.1 percent fell by 4.8 percent in 2011, to 32,459 mt, while the output of tube billets formed by austenitic grades with a share of 91.6 percent rose 34 percent year on year to 6,283 mt.
