Russia’s stainless steel imports up 5.9% in April over March

According to the Russia-based SpetsStal Association, Russian imports of stainless steel products in April this year increased by 5.9 percent compared to March, rising to 21,764 mt. In particular, in the given month Russia's imports of stainless wire went up by 33.4 percent, stainless flat steel imports rose by 4.6 percent, imports of stainless ERW pipes increased by 14.1 percent, and stainless billet imports rose by 96.9 percent, all month on month. At the same time, Russia's imports of stainless seamless pipes declined by 4.6 percent, while stainless long steel imports decreased by 0.5 percent, both compared to March.
