The Eurasian Economic Commission has announced that in 2014 Russian exports of stainless steel products to the other member countries of the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazahkstan and Russia increased by 26.1 percent year on year to 15,388 mt.
In particular, in the given year exports of stainless billets increased by 45.1 percent to 230 mt, exports of flat products of stainless steel with width more than 600 mm increased by 34.4 percent to 8,788 mt, exports of flat products of stainless steel with width less than 600 mm increased by 5.9 percent to 520 mt, exports of long stainless steel products increased by 12.5 percent to 5,426 mt, and exports of stainless steel wire went up by 119.8 percent to 422 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
In 2014, Russia's exports of stainless steel products to Belarus increased by 6.2 percent to 4,424 mt, while exports to Kazakhstan went up by 36.4 percent to 10,963 mt, both compared to 2013. In 2014, exports of stainless steel products from Belarus to Russia climbed up by 162.1 percent to 145 mt, while exports of stainless steel products from Kazakhstan to Russia moved up by 11.2 percent to 2,342 mt, both year-on-year basis.
