Russia’s pig iron exports increase in January-September

According to the Russian Federal Customs Service data, in the January-September period of 2018, Russia’s pig iron exports rose by 27 percent year-on-year to 4.3 million mt. By value, pig iron exports totaled $1.6 million, rising by 40 percent compared to the same period in 2017.

The US accounted for 53.2 percent of Russia’s pig iron exports in the given period. 572,000 mt of pig iron was shipped to Hong Kong, while 492.200 mt was shipped to Italy and 318,000 mt to Turkey.
