Russia's Krasny Oktyabr to resume stainless CRC production

Russia-based Volgograd Steel Works (Krasny Oktyabr) has announced that it will start manufacturing cold rolled steel of up to 0.8 mm in thickness from stainless heat-resistant steel grades. The company's production of this product has been suspended for almost 20 years.
In order to produce the cold rolled products in question, repair work has begun on the company's mill 1,600. The mill was first put into operation in 1947 and was idled in 1995..
