Russia’s ferrous metal import volume down 29.1 percent in Jan-Oct

In the January-October period this year, Russia’s ferrous metal import volume decreased by 29.1 percent to 3.3 million mt year on year, according to the Russian Federal Customs Service.
 
During the given period, Russia’s steel tube import volume decreased by 42.3 percent to 347,000 mt, while its volume of flat product imports declined by 40 percent, year on year, as reported by the Federal Customs Service.
 
Meanwhile, Russia's import of ferrous metals from CIS countries accounted for 60 percent of its total ferrous metal import volume in the January-October period this year.
