Russia’s ferrous metal export volume up five percent in Jan

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in January this year Russia's exports of iron ore decreased by 1.6 percent year on year to 1.796 million mt, worth a total of $146.1 million, down 32.6 percent year on year.
 
In the given month, Russian exports of coal increased by 14 percent year on year to 8.805 million mt, worth a total of $779.9 million, down 4.8 percent year on year.
 
In January, Russia exported 108,300 mt of coke and semi-coke, up 1.6 percent year on year, worth a total of $22.7 million, down five percent year on year.
