Russia’s coal exports rise by 16.54 percent in 2016

According to the data issued by Russia's Ministry of Energy, in 2016  Russia’s coal exports increased by 16.54 percent year on year to 163.58 million mt. In December alone, Russian coal exports amounted to 14.23 million mt.
 
Meanwhile, in 2016 Russia’s coal output rose by 9.01 percent year on year to 383.84 million mt, while in December alone the country’s coal production reached 35.15 million mt.
