Russia-based steel pipe producer ChelPipe Group has announced that it has launched the production of stainless seamless pipes, which are used in liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects. The first shipments of pipes with 6-12 mm diameter, 1 mm thickness and 45-80 m length have been delivered to “Cryogenmash” and JSW ZiO-Podolsk. Production was achieved on the existing equipment, without requiring additional investments.

With an annual production of 300,000 mt of stainless pipes, the company is expected to fully meet demand domestically and concurrently to substitute imports of the products in question.
