According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the January-August period of this year Russia produced 69.6 million mt of iron ore concentrate and 26 million mt of iron ore pellets, up 1.6 percent and 2.1 percent respectively compared to the same period last year.
In addition, in August Russia produced 9 million mt of iron ore concentrate and 3.1 million mt of iron ore pellets, up 3.1 percent and down 4.4 percent respectively compared to July this year.
