Russian crude steel output rises in Jan-Feb
In the first two months of 2007, Russia registered a 9.7 percent increase in its crude steel production and a 1.9 percent increase in its pig iron and ferroalloy output year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 12 million and 8.5 million. In addition, during the period in question, Russia produced 8.5 million metric tons of semi-finished products, showing a 14 percent increase.
