Russian coal exports up 6.8 percent in January-May

In the January-May period of the current year, Russia produced 143.7 million mt of coal, up 1.2 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).

In the January-May period, Russian exports of coal increased by 6.8 percent year on year to 55.56 million mt, including 8.749 million mt of coking coal, up 72.9 percent year on year.
