Russia ups industrial output in February

Russia's industrial output rose 5.1% year-on-year in February 2005, according to data published by the Russian State Statistics Service. The February 2005 figure, however, came in below the 8.5% growth recorded the previous February. Year-on-year growth in the natural resources sector decreased from 10.6% in February 2004 to 1.1% in February 2005 mainly due to the break-up of Russia's largest oil company Yukos.
