According to the data released by the Russian Federation's Federal State Statistics Service, during the January-October 2006 period, the country recorded a seven percent increase in its crude steel output year on year, producing 58.53 million metric tons.
During the period in question,
Severstal increased its crude steel
production by 2.8 percent,
MMK by 9.2 percent,
NLMK by 9.4 percent, ZapSib by 35.5 percent, Ural Steel by 0.7 percent and OEMK by 4 percent.
