Russia issues January-April production results

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the January-April period of the current year Russia registered a 3.2 percent decline in its rolled steel product output to 18.1 million mt, a 4.1 percent decrease in its crude steel output to 23 million mt and a 1.5 percent decline in its pig iron production to 16.5 million mt, all year on year. In the given period, Russia saw a four percent rise year on year in its steel pipe production to 3.2 million mt.

In addition, in January-April Russia produced 115 million mt of coal, up 0.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
