Rizhao Steel commissions high-speed wire rod project No. 3

Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Rizhao Steel Holding Group Co. has announced that on May 23 its high-speed wire rod project No. 3 in Yingkou in Liaoning Province successfully underwent a hot run test and produced its first batch of wire rod. Construction work on the project was carried out by MCC Tiangong Construction Group (CMTCC Group), a subsidiary of Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC).

The high-speed wire rod project No. 3 is the third part of an overall project with a total annual output capacity of 2.1 million mt of high-speed wire rod, each part having an annual output capacity of 700,000 mt.
