Raspadskaya Coal Company (Raspadskaya), one of the largest coking coal producers in Russia, has announced that in Q1 this year its raw coal production volume rose by 42.5 percent compared to the same period of last year to 2.2676 million mt.

In 2012, Raspadskaya's coal production volume had increased by 12 percent compared to 2011 to 7.002 million mt.

In October, Evraz announced that it had completed a deal to buy 100 percent of shares of Corber Enterprises Ltd., which in turn owns 82 percent of Raspadskaya. The deal was completed in January, making Evraz Russia's largest producer of coking coal.
