Qingdao Steel ignites new heating furnace in wire rod plant No. 2

On March 9, the new heating furnace in the wire rod plant No. 2 of Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Qingdao Iron and Steel Group Co. (Qingdao Steel) was ignited, following the completion of construction work carried out by Beris Engineering and Research Corporation, a subsidiary of China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC), as announced by MCC on March 12. The furnace in question will be able to heat 520,800 mt of semi-finished steel per year.
