POSCO to supply steel plates for world's longest suspension bridge in Turkey

South Korean steelmaker Pohang Iron and Steel Co. (POSCO) will supply 35,000 mt of thick steel plates for the construction of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge project in Turkey, which will be the world's longest suspension bridge, according to South Korean news agency Yonhap. The bridge is scheduled to be completed in 2023.

Meanwhile, for the supply of thick plates for the project, POSCO has signed a memorandum of understanding with Turkey's Cimtas Steel.
