In a statement released from Korean steel producer POSCO, it is stated that POSCO's cold rolles stainless steel quality management system is granted with ISO/TS16949 certification, which makes the producer one of the leading automotive materials producers of the world. As an internationally accredited standard for automotive materials suppliers, this certificate is administered by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurances. POSCO has previously acquired ISO 9001: 2000 and its upgraded version QS9000. Moreover, in early December 2003, Faurecia, one of the world's premier automotive parts manufacturer, named POSCO as the “best supplier of 2003”.
