Poltava GOK releases Q1 production results
During the first quarter of 2007, the Ukrainian iron ore producer Poltava GOK increased its iron ore production by 25 percent to 7.1 million metric tons, its iron ore concentrate production by 28 percent to 2.6 million metric tons, and its pellets production by 36 percent to 2.3 million metric tons, all compared to the corresponding period of last year. In addition, during the period in question the share of pellets with 65 percent iron content increased in Poltava GOK's overall pellet production to 35 percent. In March alone, Poltava GOK produced 2.4 million metric tons of iron ore, 820,000 metric tons of iron ore concentrate and 823,000 metric tons of pellets.
