Polaris Metal to mine in for China

Australian mining company Polaris Metal decided to explore iron ore in its Bullfinch North tenements in Western Australia to supply for the demand in the Chinese market. 40% stake of Portman Iron Ore Ltd on the Mayfield mineral source in the Bulfinch North tenements belongs to the company. Portman drilling had indicated in 2002 that parent iron formation below the Mayfield mineral resource was 30 to 40 meters thick and averaged 50% iron. The company considers carrying out the iron mining activities along its gold and nickel mining in the area.
