Peruvian iron ore output declines 6.6 percent in January-April

Iron ore production at Peru’s only producer, Shougang Hierro Peru, fell by 1.04 percent year on year in April this year, according to data issued by the country’s mines and energy ministry.
 
Shougang produced 661,148 mt of the commodity in April, down from 668,045 mt in the same month of 2015.
 
In the January-April period of this year, Peruvian iron ore output totaled 2.76 million mt, down 6.6 percent year on year.
