Peru’s flats service center chain Comasa sees profit decline in Q2

Peru’s largest flat steel service center chain Comercial del Acero, Comasa, saw its net profit fall 43.2 percent in Q2, year-on-year, to PEN 7.5 million ($2.3 million) the company said while releasing its quarterly results.

Comasa said net revenues in Q2 dropped 1 percent, year-on-year, to PEN 101.4 million ($31.3 million). Cost of sales rose to PEN 81 million ($25 million) in Q2 this year, from PEN 74.974. million ($23.1 million) in Q2 2016.

Comasa saw its gross profit in Q2 decrease nearly 26 percent, year-on-year, to PEN 20.4 million ($6.3 million).
