Panzhihua Steel exports 570,000 mt finished steel in 2006

SteelOrbis Shanghai In 2006, the cumulative finished steel exports of Sichuan Province-based Panzhihua Steel reached 570,000 mt, up 88.5 percent compared with last year. The producer's exports of seamless steel pipe and steel plate totaled 138,000 mt and 230,700 mt, up 90.65 percent and 73.49 percent year on year respectively. 2006 was the first time for Panzhihua Steel's steel rail products to enter North America, Australia, New Zealand, and other developed countries and regions, thus realizing historical breakthroughs as regards sales levels, new markets and product varieties.
