Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 69.1 percent in October

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 383,870 mt in October this year, increasing by 4.8 percent compared to September and up 69.1 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in October was $121.73 million, increasing by 3.1 percent month on month and up 88.5 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in October amounted to 300,109 mt, up 0.7 percent on month-on-month basis and rising by 2.1 percent year on year. In the given month, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $182.3 million, increasing by 0.8 percent month on month and up four percent year on year.
