Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 389,741 mt in April this year, decreasing by 4.9 percent compared to March and up 5.1 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in April was $115.3 million, decreasing by 0.4 percent month on month and up 22.1 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in April amounted to 362,114 mt, down 4.6 percent on month-on-month basis and rising by 8.3 percent year on year. In the given month, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $197.1 million, decreasing by 5.6 percent month on month and down 7.4 percent year on year.
