Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 46.7 percent in September

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 366,125 mt in September this year, decreasing by 22.7 percent compared to August and up 46.7 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in September was $118.06 million, decreasing by 22.8 percent month on month and up 81.9 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in September amounted to 297,848 mt, down 22.6 percent on month-on-month basis and rising by 43.6 percent year on year. In the given month, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $180.77 million, decreasing by 18.9 percent month on month and up 45.9 percent year on year.
