Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 4.5% in Mar from Feb

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 283,963 mt in March this year, rising by 4.5 percent compared to February and down by 30.3 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in March was $109.5 million, increasing by 5.76 percent month on month and falling by 15.5 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in March amounted to 259,951 mt, down 41.41 percent on year-on-year basis and up by 31.14 percent compared to the previous month. In March this year, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $178.21 million, falling by 36.62 percent year on year and up by 11.6 percent month on month.
