Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 409,837 mt in March this year, increasing by 13.8 percent compared to February and up 12.3 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in March was $115.77 million, increasing by 20.4 percent month on month and up 26.2 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in March amounted to 379,655 mt, up 35.8 percent on month-on-month basis and rising by 11 percent year on year. In the given month, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $208.8 million, increasing by 24.13 percent month on month and up 9.8 percent year on year.
