Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports down 35.2% in Feb from Jan

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 270,524 mt in February this year, decreasing by 35.2 percent compared to January and by 22.8 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in February was $103.5 million, decreasing by 20.5 percent month on month and rising by 1.1 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in February amounted to 198,226 mt, down 39.7 percent on year-on-year basis and by 23.8 percent compared to the previous month. In February this year, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $159.7 million, falling by 23.4 percent year on year and by 18.6 percent month on month.
