The contract's value is around $47 million.
Tata Steel is planning to build an integrated steel plant with an annual capacity of six million metric tons of steel at the Kalinganagar Industrial Complex of Duburi, located in the Jajpur district of Orissa. Outotec's delivery is part of the first phase of the project which will develop the largest iron ore sinter plant to be built in India to date.
The local portion of the sinter plant project will be executed by Larsen & Toubro Ltd.
