OMZ inks supply contracts with Arcelor-Mittal subsidiaries and NLMK

The Russian UralSpecStal, a part of the OMZ-SpecStal division of OMZ, has concluded three major supply agreements with the Russian steel mill Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK), and also with two Arcelor-Mittal subsidiaries - namely, Kazakhstan-based Mittal Steel Tamirtau and Macedonia-based Mittal Steel Skopje. In 2007, the major Russian producer of work and back-up rolls for rolling mills will supply rolls valued at more than $7.5 million to NLMK. With regard to the two Arcelor-Mittal subsidiaries, in 2007 OMZ will ship hot and cold back-up rolls valued at €4.5 million to both Mittal Steel Tamirtau and Mittal Steel Skopje. In addition, OMZ is planning to sign a €2.5 million-worth supply agreement with Romania-based Mittal Steel Galati, the Czech Republic-based Mittal Steel Ostrava and Poland-based Mittal Steel Poland. Moreover, preliminary agreement for supply of OMZ's products were signed with other Arcelor-Mittal subsidiaries such as Arcelor Brasil-CST and Arcelor Brasil-Vega do Sul (Brasilia), and also with group subsidiaries in Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg and Spain.
