Official announcement for Turkish HR&CR steel import quotas

An official announcement related to the decree of the council of ministers about the implementation of determined tariff quotas regarding Turkish hot and cold rolled steel imports, which was published in the official journal on January 10, 2003, has been released in the official journal by the Turkish Foreign Trade Undersecretariat (DTM), today. According to the official announcement published today, tariff quotas for iron and non alloyed flat rolled products will be allocated to the manufacturers using hot rolled and cold rolled steel in their production, for imports from countries except EU members and countries having a free trade agreement with Turkey in force. Applications by related companies to the Turkish Foreign Trade Undersecretariat – Import Administration, are required to be made within 15 days after the publication date of the official announcement. In addition to that, a presentation of the application form and necessary documents is required along with the applications made individually for every quota statistics position.
