The annual inflation rate of the 34 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) member countries rose to 2.1 percent in July this year, compared to two percent in June, according to the latest figures.
Excluding food and energy, annual inflation increased to 2.3 percent in July, compared to 2.2 percent in the month before.
Compared with June, annual inflation in July increased to 1.7 percent in Germany from 1.6 percent, to 1.8 percent in the US from 1.6 percent and to two percent in the UK from 1.9 percent, while it was stable at Canada at 2.0 percent. In July as compared with June, annual inflation moved down to 0.5 percent in both Japan and Italy from 0.7 percent and declined to 1.1 percent from 1.2 percent in France.
