OECD annual inflation rate down to 2.3 percent in March

The annual inflation rate of the 34 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) member countries decreased to 2.3 percent in March this year, compared to 2.5 percent in the previous month, according to the latest figures. 
 
Excluding food and energy, annual inflation decreased slightly to 1.8 percent in March, compared with 1.9 percent in February.
 
Compared with February, annual inflation remained stable in March in United Kingdom at 2.3 percent.  In March as compared with February, annual inflation decreased to 1.6 percent in Germany from 2.2 percent, moved down to 1.6 percent in Canada from 2.0 percent, declined to 2.4 percent in the US from 2.7 percent, decreased to 1.4 percent in Italy from 1.6 percent, slowed to 1.1 percent in France from 1.2 percent, and decreased to 0.2 percent in Japan from 0.3 percent.
