OECD annual inflation rate decreases to 2.7 percent in November

The annual inflation rate of the 34 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) member countries decreased to 2.7 percent in November last year, compared to 3.1 percent in October, according to the latest figures.

Excluding Turkey where prices rose 21.6 percent year on year, annual inflation in the OECD area decreased to 2.0 percent in November, compared with 2.3 percent in October.

Excluding food and energy, annual inflation was down by 2.2 percent in November, compared to 2.3 percent the month before.

Compared with October, annual inflation in November decreased to 2.3 percent in Germany from 2.5 percent and to 1.7 percent in Canada from 2.4 percent. In November as compared with October, annual inflation moved down to 0.8 percent in Japan from 1.4 percent, to 2.2 percent in the US from 2.5 percent, to 1.9 percent from 2.2 percent in France, while it remained stable in Italy and the UK at 1.6 percent and 2.2 percent respectively.
