India’s eastern state of Odisha has set a target of auctioning 10 major mineral blocks including iron ore, limestone and dolomite in the fiscal year 2023-24, state minister of steel and mines Prafulla Kumar Malik informed law makers on Tuesday, March 28.

He said that in the fiscal year 2022-23 the state government had completed the auction of eight major mineral blocks including iron ore, limestone, manganese.

However, he added that it is too early to forecast the amount of revenues that the auction would earn for the state government and this could be estimated only after the reserve price was set by the auctioning agency.
