Nucor announces June surcharges for sheet products
Nucor has reported that its June 2005 raw materials surcharge will be $2.10 cwt. ($42/mt). This surcharge applies to all orders with an expected delivery date of week ending June 4 to July 2. June's scrap surcharge will be reduced by $58/mt. Nucor will honor the surcharge reduction for all customers with existing contractual obligations, however, for June spot orders, transaction prices will honor current market levels and the surcharge will be offset. Therefore effective spot prices will remain the same in May. Nucor maintains that the surcharge is a "raw material cost recovery measure."Nucor announces June surcharges for sheet products
