Nucor and SDI increase surcharge on flat products
According to recent news in the market, US based two mini mills Nucor Corp and Steel Dynamics Inc (SDI) increased surcharge on flat products by 25% to be in effect for shipments in April. Surcharge is stated to be increased as a result of rising scrap metal prices. Both companies adjust surcharges each month depending on the prices of scrap metal. The surcharge on flat products shipped in March was determined as $100 per ton. With the new decision, flat products to be shipped in April will be subject to a surcharge of $125 per ton.Nucor and SDI increase surcharge on flat products
