NSSMC to supply LD pipe and plate for natural gas pipeline project

Japanese steelmaker Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) has announced that it will supply 600,000 mt of large diameter (LD) welded steel pipe and plate for the approximately 780km natural gas pipeline that will transport natural gas from Texas, across the border to Tuxpan, Veracruz the middle of Mexico.

Accordingly, NSSMC will supply approximately 350,000 mt of large diameter welded steel pipe and approximately 250,000 mt of plate. The shipments will start in September this year until May 2017.
