NSSMC renews long-term OCTG supply agreement with Statoil

Japanese steelmaker Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) has announced that it has renewed its contract for supply of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and related services to the Norwegian oil and gas company Statoil Petroleum AS. The agreement will last until 2024. 

NSSMC stated that, together with Sumitomo Corporation, it has supplied OCTG products and related service for Statoil over 30 years. By enhancing the strategic partnership with Statoil, NSSMC and Sumitomo Corporation will continue to support Statoil’s efficient and lower environmental impact operations, contributing to the stable energy supply of the world.
