North American rig counts, week ending October 1

According to the most recent report by Baker Hughes, the weekly US rotary rig count increased 9 from last week to 1659. This reflects a year-on-year increase of 635 rigs

The Canadian rig count is up 31 from last week and is now at 313, representing a 75 year-over-year increase.
