North American rig counts, week ending December 30

According to the most recent report by Baker Hughes, the weekly US rotary rig count is down 20 from last week to 1694. This reflects a year-on-year increase of 505 rigs.

The Canadian rig count is down 65 from last week and is now at 246, representing a 37 year-over-year increase. 

The US Offshore rig count is 25, down one from last week, and down 15 year-over-year.

The week ending December 30 and the week ending December 22 were only four and three-day weeks, respectively, due to the Christmas and New Year holidays.
