Non-financial FDI by Chinese firms totals $44.54 billion in Jan-May

In the January-May period this year, non-financial foreign direct investment (FDI) by Chinese companies totaled $44.54 billion, down 1.0 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).

Meanwhile, in the January-May period of the year, Chinese companies made new investments worth a total of $5.63 billion in the countries of the One Belt, One Road area, accounting for 12.6 percent of the overall FDI made by Chinese companies in the given period.
